The project
A “super protective” mask
It was the idea of Matthieu Gaston, a curious and creative young man with cystic fibrosis. Globetrotter dreaming of being able to go where he wanted without fear for his health, he imagined a solution that would allow everyone to evolve more freely in all polluted environments.
For people with respiratory or cardiovascular pathologies or immunocompromised people, for example, protecting themselves from pollution, viruses and bacteria is not insignificant, quite the contrary: it is an absolute necessity.
After 24 months of Research & Development, in partnership with INSA / Laboratory of Fluid Mechanics and Acoustics, AIRXÔM is launching the first active respiratory protection device, the only sustainable solution that:
- destroys atmospheric pollutants (Volatile Organic Compounds and Carbon Monoxide, Nitrogen Oxides, etc.),
- inactivates micro-organisms (viruses, bacteria, moulds…)
- filters pollen, dust and fine particles (PM10, PM2.5).
This triple action represents a breakthrough innovation.
First protect people whose lives depend on the air they breathe.
Pre-order available, delivery first semester 2023
Our technology
An exclusive patented solution, combining photocatalysis and technical fabrics
The AIRXÔM mask is an active device that effectively protects against air pollution and pathogens.
The emission of UV rays on a catalyst activates the destruction mechanism. This patented photocatalytic process amplifies the action of silver and copper particles contained in the various filter media, thus increasing decontamination.
Result: total protection against viruses, bacteria, air pollutants, fine particles, pollens and molds is guaranteed.

Proven results
A device tested by independent laboratories
The effectiveness of the AIRXÔM mask is verified by a rigorous protocol of tests carried out by laboratories with recognized expertise (VirexpR for viruses, CONIDAIR for bacteria, National Laboratory of Metrology and Testing for Volatile Organic Compounds – tests in progress).
For example, the tests carried out on viruses by the VirexpR laboratory in Lyon have demonstrated effectiveness for:
- SARS-CoV-2: 99.94% kill
- H1N1: 99.99% kill
- Adenovirus: 99.94% destruction
